Culture and Romanticism

Located in the Costa Brava’s heart, Palafrugell is a town of dense local culture, adopted by the painter Cuixart (co-founder of the Dau al Set movement), birthplace of the writer Josep Pla, and from where Tom Sharpe wrote some of his funny novels facing LLafranc’s sea.

Dalí, not far away, was visiting his muse Gala in the castle that he gave him in Púbol, a few kilometres from us, while in Calella de Palafrugell Colonel Woevowsky and Dorothy Webster built their particular love story and its gardens where today are well-known for festival of Cap Roig.
